Hunt Story
Lilah’s first deer! She has been excited every morning this week because she is getting to go hunting in the evenings after school. November 7th evening we lucked up and got into some rut activity. We started by bumping 3 deer getting into the ladder stand, not long after we had a spike and good buck show up. Trying to get a shot at 80 yards in the woods didn’t work out at first due to a combination of buck fever(nervousness) and tree limbs. The buck slipped away out of sight. Shortly after a doe came running by with a spike grunting behind her, following the spike was Lilah’s deer. We were able to get him to stop at about 60 yards and Lilah made a perfect shot. Congratulations on your first deer!
