Hunt Story

I got in the stand about 4:20 p.m., I heard a young buck grunting and chasing in the wood line out of view. I was very excited to hear this activity going on. The young buck finally came into view, and I watched as he roamed the food plot for 20 minutes or so. From my front left I heard rustling in the woods, then suddenly two does popped out of the trees running across the food plot with their tails up. Once they crossed I told myself the next thing to pop out of the woods will be another buck! While waiting I focused my attention back to the young buck. Suddenly I started to hear more rustling coming from the same direction the two does came from. As I heard this I began to pick up my rifle when he shot out of the woods. I propped on the edge of the box stand and began to aim; I quickly noticed he was not going to give me a proper shot. So I gave him a bleat to try to stop him, he stopped on a dime. I aimed, lined it up, then boom! I hear him stumbling through the woods when I then heard him crash. I called my family while I waited for him to expire. They came to help me track him and found him 30 yards into the woods. And that was it.
