Hunt Story

I decided to walk to this particular stand instead of being dropped off. I wasn't in the stand 10 minutes when three does came out grazing in the pines. As they were grazing around, a 6-point came out from the thicket in front of me and sniffed in the air to his right, left, and then straight out. When he did not smell anything interesting to him, he turned and went back they way he came. A one-horned spike came out from behind me and grazed around for a while. After watching him, the buck I shot came out below me by himself. He was walking straight toward me. It seemed like forever before he finally turned to get a shot. When he turned broadside, I shot, and he ran about 50 yards where he dropped.
