Hunt Story

I had a bass tournament on opening day at Eufaula so I didn't get to hunt yesterday, and I was going to sleep in this morning and go to the stand this evening, but my wife woke me up at 5 a.m. and convinced me to go sit in the stand with her. We got in the stand about 10 to 15 minutes before daylight, and as soon as we could see a little through the binoculars we could see deer in the food plot. We watched 5 does in the plot for about 30 or 40 minutes before they started moving up the plot away from the feeder. We noticed 2 small bucks come out of the wood line into the plot, and a few minutes after that a couple more bigger bucks came out. We waited about 5 more minutes and saw a couple more bucks coming in through the woods, and the next thing I know freak nasty steps out, and I checked and made sure it was him and took the shot. We waited in the stand for about 10 minutes and made a couple of phone calls because I was shaking pretty bad and had all the thoughts of, did I make a good shot and give him enough time to expire. And then we got down and went to where he was standing and didn't find any blood, and I thought for sure I had missed, but I walked about 40 yards into the woods and he was laying there thank God lol.
