Hunt Story

On Friday, the early forecast called for a good chance of rain off and on all day, so I skipped the morning hunt and went to a box stand on a food plot at about 11:30. After a few occasional sprinkles and several short naps the deer started to move. A little after 4 several does & yearlings started making their way from a cutover out into the plot. A couple small bucks after a yearling doe. Then around 5:30 everything left and a few minutes later this buck appeared at a fast walk across a corner of the plot right back into the cutover. With just a few minutes of legal shooting time left he reappeared and presented a good shot opportunity. After about a 50-yard track. I had my hands on the first buck I've ever taken in December. Very thankful for the God given opportunities we all have.
