Hunt Story
We had this deer on camera a lot since before season and during season. I hunted this stand several times without seeing a deer. And then days that I wouldn't sit in stand, he would be on camera. Finally with a lot of patience, he showed up while I was there. He followed a smaller buck out into the field, but it took several minutes before he presented me with a broadside shot. I took the shot and he ran about 50 yards and stopped. He just stood there and I tried to shoot him again, but the second bullet misfired. So I ejected it and bolted another. Shot again and missed. And I was out of ammo. He continued to stand there for several more minutes until he finally limped out of the field. We waited about 30 minutes and started tracking. It was a easy blood trail to follow. He only made it another 75 yards before he expired. He has a inside spread of 21 1/4 inches
