Hunt Story
I had seen a few deer earlier that morning. About an hour had passed and everything had got very still. I heard a buck grunt to my left. Finally I was able to get my eyes on him and I could tell it was a pretty nice buck. I had my bow and he came within 25 yards of me but never gave me a shot. He walked away about 120 yards got just out of sight. I picked up my grunt call and gave him two grunts, then followed with a doe bleat. Within 2 minutes I heard him grunt again and he came right back in and gave me a shot. The best part was my wife and two little girls ages 2 & 4 showed up in their pajamas and brought dad some donuts. Together the three of them tracked my buck as I got to stand behind and watch with a big smile on my face. It was definitely priceless to watch them begin to enjoy something that I love so much. Super blessed to have this beautiful world as a play ground and a beautiful family to share it with!
