Hunt Story
The p.m. of Sept. 30 was smoking hot and a light east wind. East is the perfect wind for the spot I wanted to hunt, so I decided to brace the heat. A member of our club was getting pics of this deer pretty regular but always at night. On my way in I pulled my card and had a pic of him the p.m. before right at last light. At 7:00 I had a doe and little buck come out. The big deer came out at 7:25 and stood facing me for 10 minutes feeding. He finally turned and gave me a shot at 25 yards. The shot was good and he only went about 80 yards!
