Hunt Story
I saw this buck late in the morning of Thanksgiving Day and didn't think I was going to get a chance at him, as I didn't have a lot of time to be in the tree. He was herding a group of does out in some pines, but as it got later in the morning, I don't think he felt too secure out where he was. I was hunting on the edge of bedding, and he finally broke away from the does and headed my way. I shot him at 32 yards and made a perfect double lung shot. He went maybe 80 yards for an easy recovery. I've never shot a buck on Thanksgiving Day, so there was a lot to be thankful for that day.
