Hunt Story

I decided to skip trick or treat and go the hunt camp with my dad. We did not see any deer Saturday morning but saw good sign on the way out. We watched the first part of GA-FL game and it was not looking good, so we went to the old box stand behind the bus because we were running a little late. One 6-point and five does were in the food plot when we got there so had to wait for them to leave. We finally get in the stand and more deer piled into the field. We watch another 6-pointer and a small buck feed, and they got real nervous. This buck came in from downwind and was headed straight for the other bucks. My dad looked at him real good and said I could shoot him. The buck kept moving pretty steady to the other deer and would not stop until my Dad mouth grunted at him. When he did, the buck stopped in his tracks, and I was able to get him clean in my scope. I waited until I was steady and pulled the trigger. I hit him a little high and the buck fell right down. We waited a few minutes, seem like forever, and walked about 100 yards to the buck. This was my first deer and I was very excited, matter of fact I still am.
