I promised my son that this deer was his if the deer gave him the opportunity to harvest him the day we started getting pictures of him. After sitting in our ground blind for an hour, we heard what we believed was the deer trying to get rid of his velvet. He is whispering about mounting the deer as if he knew it was the exact deer he was after, as his sister quietly colored not aware of what was fixing to happen. At approximately 7:30 he stepped out of the brush browsing on grass. After 10 minutes of trying to get my son into position the buck presented him with a perfect broadside shot. I asked him to take some deep breaths as I noticed him trembling. I eased the safety off and before I could say a word he let it fly. The shot was perfect. He ran approximately 60 yards and expired. He has definitely set the bar high for himself. I would like thank the good lord above for this opportunity , get your kids outdoors and we also wish everyone a safe and successful hunting season.
