Hunt Story
I went to a climber stand I had put up in a hardwood bottom. Then put out some Code Blue doe in estrus on so wicks. I got up to the top about 7 am that morning and it was still dark out. Then it sounded like rain dew to the acorns falling around me. So I waited and about 5 minutes till 8 am I heard a snort wheeze back behind me where I parked my four-wheeler that morning. Then about 8 am I see this deer running about 100 yards away going away from me, and for some reason he turned and headed back to me then stopped for a second so I took the shot. I was a perfect shot and he ran about 50 yards. Then went down as I walked up to the deer I didn’t notice the drop tine until I held the deer's head up and I was so surprised to see it. For me this is truly a great buck and will look good on my wall!!!!
