Hunt Story
Calm morning, nothing moving during my bow hunt at Chattahoochee Fall Line-Hillard Tract WMA. After 9:30 I was beginning to tell myself I had hunted the wrong spot. Since I chose to go back to the same spot I killed the 9-pointer two days prior. At 9:45 I caught movement coming through the scrub oaks and I got my bow ready. Had to cross over my saddle tether and shoot on my off side. As he came through the first lane, I counted four points, then he stopped in my second lane. My arrow hit the mark at 30 yards. He ran uphill into the planted pines about 50 yards and I was able to watch him stagger and fall. A dream bow hunt, become reality for me.
