Hunt Story
I was fortunate enough to be selected for the first Clybel hunt after not being selected for the last 3 years. Friday morning between the rains I shot my first Georgia WMA deer. It was a doe and she was hot. We dropped the deer off at the processor around 9:15 and headed back to the woods. Unfortunately my son in law (this was our first hunt together) had to pick my grand baby up from daycare so we had to leave well before dark. I parked my truck at my shed to off load a stand, and then parked next to the house on my driveway. Around 6:40 I saw this buck nosing around my shed. I had never seen this buck here or on any of my trail cams, and I'm pretty sure he was looking for the doe I had in my truck. As I said it was raining on and off all day, so I had just cleaned my gun and it was still on the kitchen table. I slid a cartridge into the chamber and slipped out the side door and around my truck and shot him in the ear at about 60 yards.
