Hunt Story

It was a Tuesday afternoon when we decided to hunt at a place on our property we call "The Wall." My dad and I got up in the stand and waited for about 30-45 minutes. The first few does came to the right of our stand and then a small spike came right up beside us. I put my head down so the deer wouldn't see me because a few minutes before, I scared a few does off. My dad tapped me and says, "There he is!" He already had the gun ready for me. He turned away and held his ears and I took the shot. My dad and I left the stand and headed home for about 10 minutes to tell my mom and brother what I shot. We went back to "The Wall" and looked around in the grain sorghum. We kept seeing specks of blood and walked up on the deer laying in the sorghum. We took several pictures, loaded him up, and went home to clean him.
