Hunt Story
Had a picture or two of this buck on trail cam only at night and was usually with another buck. Got to stand a good 30 minutes before shooting light, had a spike come through right at sunrise. Buck came in with head down around 8 a.m., wind was perfect. He wasn't hurried and had a spike in tow, stopped at 20 yards quartering away. Made shot, he went maybe 20 yards and collapsed. Another buck came in about 5 minutes after him, he could tell something wasn't right, had the drop on him but didn't wont to end my season yet and had my work cut out already with a buck down, so he got a pass. Could see downed buck from stand and gave him 30 minutes and then retrieved.
