Hunt Story

Me and my hunting partner were hunting family property in north Grady county. We had gotten a little late start, and when we got to the property gate I got out of truck and walked to first stand. As I was walking in, it was already breaking day, so I took my time and crept in to stand. No deer were in patch when I got to stand. I saw two does cross lane that splits planted pines that surround feed patch. They came by a little after 7:00 and never came in patch, they stayed in planted pines. Just a few minutes later the buck came out with his nose on the ground trailing them. He was walking, not trotting or running. He walked down the lane to the spot that they had went back into the planted pines and stopped at the woods edge. He fell right where I shot him. I looked at my phone and it was 7:20 a.m. I stayed in stand until 8:00 watching and videoing another smaller buck chasing other does then got down and loaded the buck in pickup.
