Hunt Story

I usually don't hunt in morning but woke up early and couldn't go back to sleep. Half a pot of joe I was ready to go. Walking in hit deer and they blew out. Exactly why I don't like mornings, usually do more harm than good. I decided to wait this one out. At first light a doe moved really fast across plot, he was behind her skirting. In other words moving just fast enough to cause a miss. He replayed this several times. He would never give a clear shot at vitals. Them big ones have an instinct that most wild animal don't. I finally had to take a marginal shot. It was a little further back than normal. He tore out digging. I knew the 130 gr gmx did its job as he ran 50 yards and piled up.
