Hunt Story
I was hunting in a pecan grove. At about 5:30, six does came out. He came out of the woods at about 5:45 and started running does. He got out there a fur piece before I could get on him. I took the shot and could tell I hit him a little farther back than I wanted. Deer were running everywhere. I took out running toward where he was because it was starting to get dark and rain. I got to within 100 yards of where I thought he was. I scanned with my binos. He was about 100 yards away all hunched over with his head down facing me. I shot him again. He dropped. This shot must have busted his skull plate. I wish I had waited and let him get broadside. The taxidermist said he could fix it. I just wont be able to score him. It was still exciting though.
