Hunt Story
The buck I've been waiting for finally made an appearance this past weekend. After spotting him on my camera, I made it my mission to track him down. I set out after work, climbed up to my spot, and settled in for a waiting game. After a while, a spike showed up, and I knew that he had been with him, I thought that the big buck might not be far behind. Just when I started to doubt my chances, I spotted him making his way toward me. As he approached, I held my breath, fearing he might spook. But to my surprise, he continued toward me. When he was just 20 yards away, I drew back my bow, but a leaf caught my broadhead, causing him to startle. With a small window of opportunity at 25 yards, I took my shot and nailed it. Despite running 125 yards, he finally went down. What an exhilarating hunt!
