Hunt Story
The rain had stopped a little earlier and I made a last-minute decision to go into the stand. As I was walking in, I saw this deer so I stayed put. Rather than risk him busting me, I decided not to get into my stand and found an uprooted tree to get some good cover along a scrape line. Low and behold, around 6:45 I saw him coming back toward the scrape. I was able to draw my bow when he was behind a tree. He made a scrape and continued toward me where I released the arrow and made a perfect shot quartering toward me.
