I checked the weather the day before and saw where it was supposed to stop raining around 5 a.m. I got to my deer stand around 7:00 a.m. I hunt out of a Summit climber. I hunt hardwoods. Around 9 a.m. I heard some movement about 80 yards in front of me. I waited for the deer to move some more so I could get a clear view of him. Once I saw that he was a shooter I took the shot. The deer ran about 50 yards and I heard him crash. I waited about 20 minutes before climbing down to go find him.
