Hunt Story
The day I harvested my buck was special because my father and grandfather had each killed a buck in the same stand the previous day. Also, this day was the anniversary of my first big buck the previous year. My father, grandfather, and I were all hunting together in the same tower and we had already seen 11 does and a bobcat. The big one stepped out at 297 yards and eased up the shooting lane. At 238 yards, he turned broadside and I shot and missed. As he stood there, I reloaded and the second shot hit the vitals and were followed by two more shots to drop him as he ran up the lane in our direction. After we celebrated with some pictures, we loaded him on the buggy and hauled him out. What a great day for us all!
