Hunt Story
I tried to ease into this stand the morning of 11/21 as slow as possible but leaves were ankle deep and that was not an easy task. I heard multiple deer run off from the area, which had me discouraged. I was hunting the side of a ridge with white oaks across the entire side. I saw a small buck around 8 am and he was moving pretty quick up the ridge. About 15 minutes later I saw a doe feeding on the white oaks. She fed for about 20 minutes. Then this deer came in quick running across the side of the ridge above me. I knew he wasn’t a large deer but I wanted to take him. To me, the hunt is all about what makes you happy and he made that happen! I was blessed to harvest him! And he’ll hang on the wall right there with the others proudly!!
