Hunt Story
I hunted a powerline stand on a 200-acre farm in Newnan. We have several pictures of a really good buck in that area. About 7:35 a different buck (the one I'm entering ) stepped out across from me about 150 yards up the powerline. I checked him several times to make sure he was one of our shooters, but I couldn't figure out what buck it was, but I knew it was a mature buck. He was about halfway across the powerline when I made my first shot. He flinched and stood there, so I shot again. He jumped forward and then turned around so I shot again. He then laid down with his head up so I shot again. It was a lot of shooting, but at least he didn't run off wounded. Once he was down I talked to my brother in law who was hunting on the other end of this property. I drug him to the road where we could get a truck to and got him loaded up. My biggest so far.
