Hunt Story
Last day hunt with the intention of shooting a doe for the freezer. Took my youngest son Grayson with me and a bag full of snacks and drinks. Got in the stand at 4:20 p.m. Didn't see anything until 5:40 when this buck showed up at the end of the food plot. He came from a direction where most of the deer do not come from. He was hungry eating turnips and oats. I could see them hanging out of his mouth. He finally gave me a broadside shot at 200 yards and I let my .308 eat. He jumped tucked his tail and went into the creek bottom. He ran about 20 yards in the woods and crashed. It was a great way to end the season.
