Hunt Story
My wife, (9)year old son and myself wanted to do a family afternoon hunt. Being my boy's first hunt, wanted to teach him about hunting. We were in a box stand not really thinking we were going to see anything, but wanting to teach him about hunting. Was not much room in the stand, so had wife looking one way and son looking the other, teaching him how to use the grunt call. As he was grunting away, my wife says you just called in a small doe. While we sat talking and watching this little doe, a monster buck steps out 40 yards away. Made a clean shot. As we got to the buck, we talked about how we were going to eat this animal and the reasons we hunt. We then took a knee, said a prayer for the blessing we have and for the buck himself.
