Hunt Story

This hunt only lasted 30 minutes from the time we left the truck until the buck was harvested. We left the truck at around 7 a.m. on the 3rd of November heading to our box stand on the power line. On the way in, we checked our camera that we had on a pawed spot. While we were checking the camera, we heard deer grunting, so we quickly and quietly made our way to the stand. As soon as we sat down and opened the windows, we had a doe at 200 yards to our left. I was looking at her when my son seen this beautiful buck coming out of the pine thicket across from us. He said "Big BUCK dad! Shooter buck!" When I finally saw the deer I about passed out. LOL! "That's you, that's you, that's you! Son that's your shooter!" We were in tight in the box stand, so he had to sit in my lap to shoot the deer. I couldn't even see the shot because the windows was fogged up and dirty. All I saw was the finger pull the trigger and Joe saying "HE'S DOWN!" Wow, what a quick hunt and one we will never forget!
