Hunt Story
My family has a small acreage in suburban Atlanta of Clayton County in Jonesboro, GA. I had seen this deer on multiple occasions throughout the last 2 years. Estimating him to be approximately 4 1/2 years old. I knew that if I got an opportunity to take this awesome buck it would be amazing. He came in to some scent that I had put out, and gave me a split second shot. When I went to recover the deer, I found no blood or arrow at the area I believed him to be the shot. Thinking that I hit the deer back, I backed out. Waited what felt like an eternity, I went back to search for the deer. I found his blood trail 40 yards away, and continued to track him. Thankfully he never made it off our property. One happy camper.
