Hunt Story
My Dad and I got in our double ladder stand overlooking a small food plot and a thick hardwood bottoms about 4:45 on Tuesday afternoon. Dad was calling with a grunt call about every 15 minutes, and after the third time he grunted we spotted a deer moving through the hardwoods down to our left. He was walking very fast toward the food plot. Then he turned to his left and started walking and looking up toward our stand. He stopped behind some small trees so I couldn' t get a cleat shot. He finally started walking again to a small opening, and when he got there, I was ready. My Dad stopped him, and I shot him in the shoulder and he dropped in his tracks. This is my third deer that I have ever killed.
