Hunt Story
The hunt started around 12 on the 29th and I didn’t see anything but squirrels all day until at 5:30 a doe started pushing into the field. Not far behind I saw a rack and he’s extremely easy to spot so I got my rifle ready and he stopped almost long enough to take a shot but moved maybe a foot or 2 further, stopped again and I took the shot. He wobbled, jogging about 100 yards and laid down. When we found blood it looked like guts to us so we immediately pulled out and got a drone around 1 am searching til 3 to no avail. Then dogs came at lunch the 30th and got ready to have to pull a deer out of a swamp but he was laid right where he went in the hardwoods.
