Hunt Story
Have had this deer and his bachelor group coming to my food plot all summer. Hunted Saturday the 16th, and he came in just after shooting light. My father-in-law drove the truck out to the food plot so I could get down without spoiling the stand. Decided to try again Sunday evening, and it came together as planned. He presented me with a great shot opportunity but I made a marginal shot. I backed out and came back the next morning only to jump him about 8 a.m. My neighbor was gracious enough to bring his blue tick "Daisy" to track the deer that evening. After a long tracking job she found him in an old swamp canal about 7:30 p.m. I was thrilled to say the least. Thankful for my first bow buck, the friends and family who helped me, and the good Lord for all his blessings.
