Hunt Story
Got up a bit late but decided to go get in the stand anyway. Got in the stand about 8:00 am. The woods were peaceful till about 9:00 when I saw two does run by about 75 yards away. Made a few light bleat calls with my Primos can followed by a couple of grunts from my grunt call. I waited about 30 minutes and repeated the sequence of calls. Next thing I know about 10:00 am this beast stepped out and was walking parallel with me at 40 yards. I almost didn’t shoot him as I only had one buck tag left and wanted it to be a good one. As I looked at him through the scope I was able to count 10 points. I have never taken a 10-point before this day. That’s when I decided to pull the trigger. Deer only ran 20 yards and was down.
