Hunt Story

I got in the stand at 3:30. I was looking at the time when I looked up and saw a nice buck. I yelled to get him to stop, but by the time I got my gun up it was too late. Soon after that four does came into the feed patch and were being run around by a little buck. I was sitting there thinking to myself about how I might not see another good buck when I looked up and there was another big buck making a scrape. I picked up my gun and got him in the scope, and he was facing away from me, so I waited for him to turn. After about a minute he turned cornering away from me. I put my crosshairs about mid stomach and squeezed the trigger. I watched him mule kick and watched him run in the woods. I called my dad and told him what happened. When we walked up to where I had shot him, we saw lots of hair and about 3 feet from that we saw the blood trail that was about a foot wide and stared to follow, about 20 yards from where I shot him was where he laid.
