Hunt Story

I had been watching this deer for the last 3 years. He was a main-frame 10 last year with an abnormal 11th point. This year he went back to a 10 while gaining beam length and mass. He showed in daylight Monday evening and again Wednesday morning while I was working. I hunted him morning and evening the next 4 days finally crossing paths with him on the morning of the 23rd. He was the 17th deer that I saw that morning. There was a 4pt and spike feeding at one end of the plot and a doe at the other end 150 yards away. At 8:45 a.m. I heard a grunt and he stepped into the plot and started feeding with the two smaller bucks about 100 yards away. I waited on him to turn offering a broadside shot and dropped him where he stood. Live weight was 200 pounds.
