Hunt Story
The morning of Saturday November 11th was cold and rainy. The rain let up a little mid-morning so 11-year-old Jessie went to his stand. He stayed in the stand with off-and-on rain until 2. He got down had lunch put on dry clothes and went at it. He was back in the stand at 3, thankfully the rain had stopped. At around 5 he had several doe come out then a 3 ptr came running in and started chasing them. Shortly thereafter this nice 7-pointer came in to take over. That's when Jessie got ready and took his shot. It was about a 60-yard shot. He made a perfect lung shot with his Ruger 243. The buck ran about 30 yards and fell. Jessie gave it 40 minutes then got down and found his trophy buck!
