Hunt Story

It was overcast and sprinkling. It was hot, mid 70s. I hadn't seen anything and was texting a buddy who was telling me had seen 18 so far. I was feeling down on my luck. Then around 5:55, six does came into the food plot about 120 yards away. I was watching them in my binoculars. I got my phone to text my buddy to let him know I finally broke the ice. When I looked back up, this buck had broke the woods at about 30 yards from my stand, and he was focused on the does. He closed the 70 yards to them in just a few seconds. I picked my rifle up as he was just bumping two of them around. Then he turned broadside to me. I put it on his shoulder and squeezed. He ran about 20 yards and fell in the food plot.
