Hunt Story
I called him Broke Tine. I had him on camera but never in the daylight. That morning was like nothing I had ever seen. It was Awesome! From the very start I had a buck and doe get by me. Then a couple more young bucks came out to feed. When they left, a nice 8 point showed up. I was going to shoot him when out of nowhere here comes my big Broke Tine buck running straight at the 8 point. The 8 point takes off and both get by me before I even knew what happened. Things slowed down after that and I thought well it’s over. I had my chance and I blew it. I was so frustrated with myself but at the same time I was excited about all the action that morning. Just when I thought it was over A doe came running across my food plot with Broke Tine on her tail! He got by me again! I sat there praying God would give me another chance. I waited patiently as I tried to calm my nerves and hoped he would come back. When the doe stepped out I knew God was about to answer my prayer. I was ready. The only thing I prayed now is that I would make a good clean shot. When he stepped out I put the crosshairs on him. I dropped him in his tracks. He never made another step. I felt like I had just won the Super Bowl. God is so good!!
