Hunt Story
Had a doe cross the two-path lane I was hunting early that morining, no buck behind her. Thirty minutes later I grunted one time and a small buck came out from where the doe had gone in. I laid the gun out the window of my shooting house to get a better look at him, he crossed very fast. I grunted one time to try to get him back out, but he was gone. I just happen to look over my left shoulder out the other window to see the 9-point smelling the ground. Very slowly tried to move gun out other window but hit the frame of the house. The buck looked straight at me. I put the crosshairs on him and pulled the trigger to see him drop dead. Then it dawned on me what had just happened. After a few minutes to soak it all in, I made my way to him to realized that I just killed my biggest buck ever. I showed him to a fellow club member who has hunted our club for 20 years, and he told me that is the second largest buck killed on our club next to a 10-point killed about 18 years ago. Needless to say I am a very happy hunter
