Hunt Story
Had one deer blow at me when I was walking to the stand before daylight. Didn't see any deer all morning, only squirrels and birds. About 8:30 a.m., I see this really nice buck walk out from nowhere. He stood about 80 to 90 yards away staring in my direction. I grabbed my rifle and shot him in the front of his chest, just below his neck. He ran about 40 yards through the woods before dropping. He was an 11-point, but must have caught one of the tines on a tree as he was running away, because when I found him one was broken off. After tracking him down, I walked back to my house and got my kids and 4-wheeler to help get him out of the woods.
