Hunt Story
I had seen 4 does about 45 minutes prior to seeing the buck. With the time lapse I would not say he was chasing, but he was definitely on the same trail grunting. I had done a rattling and grunting sequence within 5 minutes of hearing footsteps followed by grunting. Upon seeing the deer and rack, I knew it was one of the shooters that we had on camera. As the deer was walking and grunting, I realized he wasn't going to stop, so I had to shoot through some thick stuff while he was on the move. I knew he was hit and heard him crash, so after a short recovery I was standing over the deer we called split brow, which had unfortunately broken the end of his main beam back during the summer.
