Hunt Story

I'm Jason Yoder from Montezuma, Ga . I'm a volunteer firefighter for Montezuma. As of last year the city allowed firefighter to hunt inside the city limits on the city property with bow and bow only. I had trail-cam pictures of this deer during velvet, and he disappeared Sept. 1st, and so I just figured he had moved out. But on October the 25th at 7 p.m. my CovertWireless camera sent me a picture of him and a big 8 fighting. I had already made plans with my boss early in the week to take off work the morning of the 26th, so I go in there and a doe being chased by four smaller bucks came through. About 20 minutes later here came the skyscraper 10, and he gave me the shot at 41 yards. I took it and hit him back a little, and it exited out the gut, so I backed out called a dog in 6 hrs later. Within 30 minutes we found him dead in the creek.
