Hunt Story
I knew I had a busy week with work, family things, and the holidays coming up. Monday was going to be the only day to hunt for several days so I went. Hunting app showed low deer movement and that was confirmed for what I saw and the few trail cam pictures that I got. I watched a small doe feed for about an hour and then she walked off. 20 minutes later I hear something walking to my left/behind me. I stayed still listening to it without turning because I didn’t want to get busted. I laid eyes on the deer at 15yds and knew it was a shooter. It was walking to the food plot that I’ve planted. Then he turned and started walking away from me. I made a grunt noise with my mouth and he froze for a couple of minutes. I was trying to figure where I was going to get a shot and whether he was going to turn for a shot. I was holding the crosshairs steady on his neck and decided for that to be shot. I squeezed the trigger and the buck collapsed.
