Hunt Story
On Saturday, October 22nd my son and I went hunting. We started the morning off with seeing only three deer. After a long nap, we decided to go back and try again around 4:30. We sat there for about an hour and a half and only saw a doe and yearling. We started thinking that we weren't going to have much luck that afternoon either. About that time a 8-point stepped out and just a few steps behind him came the 10-point. My son Dagan slowly reached for his gun, carefully getting it ready to shoot. He took a deep breath and shot. The buck jumped up and kicked out and took off running. We tried to walk and look for blood, but it was getting late and hard to see. We called a friend, and he brought his dog, and within 20 minutes we recovered the deer. I had one happy and excited 11-year-old. It was a job well done.
