Hunt Story
The evening was coming to an end with just some does to show for it. I was watching a doe feed in front of me when she suddenly lifted her head and took off behind me. I assumed the wind had swirled and she winded me. As I watched her run I turned my head and the buck was headed my direction at about 26 yards. I quickly stood, grabbed my bow, ranged him once more at 21 yards. I drew back, took two deep breaths, and squeezed the trigger! He ran about 70 yards or so and just like that the hunt was over. This was my first deer with a bow! The memories and emotions are ones that will be special forever.
