Hunt Story

Entered stand at 6 a.m. At 7 a.m. I saw this buck in the low pasture next to my hardwoods and pines. He had nose to ground and was circling. He went into hardwoods behind my stand. Two minutes later a doe came up from the bottom of the hill. She crossed a bare food plot (no rain) and entered the short pines. I knew he was coming, or hoping he was. I went ahead and picked up my .270. A few minutes later I heard him grunting. Here he came in her footprints. He entered the bare food plot and I shot him at 40 feet. He ran 60 yards and crashed.
