Hunt Story
I was hunting on private property and knew of a pine thicket that nobody had gone in all year long, so I knew there were deer bedded in there. There was a creek that went right through the middle of the pine thicket. I took a chair and sat in the pine thicket until about 7:00PM. I got out of my chair at 7:00PM and slipped over in the creek bottom to see if any deer were passing through. Not a minute later this buck came walking through the creek. He saw me and I had a split decision to make. I could only see from his neck up so I had a choice to make. I was very confident in my shot placement so I took the shot. The deer immediately hit the dirt and only ran about 20 yards. The big bucks are not over the corn piles. If you want to kill big deer, you have to hunt offset of the corn piles. Big deer will walk around your corn piles. Just because he is not on your camera does not mean he is not in the area. Just remember to get out there and hunt and don't rely on the camera to solely tell you when to hunt.
