Hunt Story
Shot the buck in the evening, had an incredible blood trail for 125 yards, but then the blood trail petered out. I then heard a deer run off and cross a nearby creek and was hoping it wasn't the buck I shot. Just in case he was still alive and the blood trail became very scarce, I decided to back out and come back in the morning and pick up the trail in daylight. It didn't take long to find him the next morning, found him 125 yards past where I left off from trailing the night before. Turns out I made a lung/liver shot on him, it got below freezing that night so his meat was still good.
