Hunt Story
Eileen is a buck we’ve had on our farm for two years. Even though we have only been watching him for two years we knew he was a mature buck. Watching him over the summer and early season we knew he was a buck that was on the hit list. On Saturday afternoon my papa saw the buck chasing a doe and could not get a shot. So we went back Sunday morning. I was looking over 7 acres of iron clay peas and happened to turn around to see the buck right behind me in the planted corn. I got turned around took my time and made a great shot and the buck only ran 80 yards. I was blown away at this massive buck and couldn’t believe he weighed 214.8 pounds.
