Hunt Story
The hunt for “the 12” started last year when I acquired a new piece of land. My oldest son Jack liked this deer from the minute he saw the first trail-cam pic. Last year he was a clean 6x6, and we chose not to hunt him. This year he had his best rack based off the sheds I picked up from the property (4 years worth). Throughout bow season Jack passed on a few nice bucks waiting on an opportunity at the 12. On Saturday morning we chose to hunt a stand where we had the most recent pics on him on camera. We rattled around 7:10 and within a few minutes the buck walked out and was headed our way. Jack made a great shot and finally got to lay his hands on “the 12.”
